Our VisionCambridge School of Ballet was founded in 2007 by Lenora Rousseau, former company member of Anaheim Ballet. Stephania Rogers became the Artistic Director in 2013. Students enjoy the opportunity to perform annually in both the Nutcracker Suite as well as in original ballets such as La Stravaganza, Katerina's Locket , and The Prodigal Princess, set to the music of classic composers such as Vivaldi, Mozart, and Bach. Students also learn the classic variations from Sleeping Beauty, Coppelia, and more.
Under the artistic direction of Stephania Rogers, CSO Ballet looks forward to continuing to expand both the curriculum as well as the repertoire of the studio. |

Training Philosophy
Cambridge School of Ballet’s purpose is to provide professional quality training for aspiring dancers as well as to help student’s develop an appreciation for classical and contemporary dance. The discipline of dance is a healthy and creative way for students to dramatically improve their physical well being and increase their sense of confidence. Our objective is to inspire each student to reach their personal potential as both an athlete and an artist.
Dance technique is an excellent cross-training method for other sports activities. Cambridge School of Ballet seeks to incorporate principles from various dance styles, as well as yoga, and Pilates, to build a well-balanced approach to technique as well as develop abdominal strength and flexibility.
Structured technique classes provide the necessary training for classical ballet and contemporary dance forms as well as focus a student’s attention on proper muscular development to avoid injury. Positive corrections to technique or classroom behavior are given to improve the dancer’s ability to excel as well as to maintain a safe and productive environment for everyone. Consideration for the student’s age, experience, and emotional development are always of utmost importance.
Many experts believe that it takes a minimum of ten years to create a dancer. Please help support your young artist by encouraging them to practice and stretch at home. Simply standing in first position is much harder than it may appear! All parents will be invited to share in their student’s progress through the designated class observation times that are offered throughout the school year.
